Court is held at the Evans Town Hall, 8787 Erie Road, Angola, NY 14006.
Court is held on Monday evenings, beginning at 6:30PM.
TOWN PROSECUTOR nights will be two (2) Tuesdays a month.

No requests for adjournments will be accepted via fax, you must call the office during office hours.

Please be advised that payments are accepted in person or through the mail in the form of credit/debit (convenience fee of 2.99% assessed for all card payments), or money order. No personal checks. Cash accepted at Court Clerk’s window ONLY. Do NOT send cash payments via mail.

Eviction
- Visit NY State Court Help Link for FREE eviction paperwork and directions on filing.
- Please call our office at 549-3707 for upcoming available court dates.
- Bring copies of completed paperwork and proof of service back to the court to file the eviction proceeding. There is a $20.00 filing fee.
- Your Notice of Petition will need to be signed by a court clerk or an attorney. If a court clerk signs the Notice of Petition, there is an additional $20.00 fee.
*The Court Personnel Cannot assist you in Eviction Procedures.

Bail Information
What is the purpose of bail?
- The defendent you are bailing out must report to court on the adjourned date and time written on the bail receipt.
What if the Defendant doesn’t show up for court?
- If the defendant fails to appear, a warrant will be issued for his/her arrest and bail money may be forfeited.
Will I receive all of my bail money back?
- Bail money posted may be subject to a 3 percent pondage fee authorized by section 99-M of the New York State General Municipal Law.
When can I get my bail money back?
- Bail money will be returned when the case has been completed.
How do I make arrangements for the return of my bail money?
- When the case is completed, contact the court office at (716) 549-3707 to arrange for your return.
- Only the person who posted the bail can pick up the return from the court and he/she must have proper identification. Your bail receipt will be collected at this time.
- To avoid an unnecessary trip, be sure to call the office at (716) 549-3707 to make arrangements before arriving at the courthouse to pick up your bail money.
Can fines be paid from my bail money?
- Only the person who posted the bail can sign the funds over for the payment of fines.

Do you handle Village of Angola Court matters?
No. The Village of Angola Court is a separate entity and can be reached at (716)549-4035. Office hours are Tues and Thur 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at 41 Commercial St. Angola, NY 14006
Do you handle Small Claims?
You may sue up to $3,000 in a Town Justice Court. The fees are $10 for a $1,000 or less and $15 for $1,000 to $3,000. The person you are suing must live in the Town of Evans.
